Privacy Policy

Effective 20 October 2026

eppi collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app is ever sent to us.

eppi is a player for the IPTV subscription you already have. It talks only to the provider you add, and everything it keeps stays on your device.

What stays on your device

To play your subscription, eppi stores these things on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV:

None of this leaves your device, except in the device backups you make yourself (iCloud or a computer), which Apple's terms cover.

Who the app talks to

eppi connects only to the provider whose server address you entered, and to the image addresses that provider's catalogue lists for artwork. It never contacts a server of ours, because there isn't one.

Like any server, your provider's can see your IP address and what the app asks for: the catalogue, artwork and the streams you play. eppi identifies itself as eppi/ followed by its version number, and nothing more. How your provider handles that information is a matter for its own terms.

Some providers serve their content over plain HTTP rather than HTTPS. With those, your username, password and viewing aren't encrypted on the way to the provider. eppi uses whichever your provider offers; it can't add encryption the provider doesn't support.

If you use AirPlay, the stream goes to the device you choose, using Apple's AirPlay.

What Apple may share with us

eppi contains no crash reporting or analytics of its own. If you have chosen in your device's settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us crash reports and anonymous, aggregated usage figures for the app. That is Apple's service, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and you can turn it off at any time.

If you test eppi through TestFlight, Apple shares with us what TestFlight provides to developers, such as the email address you were invited with, crash reports, and any feedback you choose to send.

Deleting your data

Removing a provider in eppi's settings deletes its password from the Keychain, its catalogue and its settings.

Deleting the app removes everything else. iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is deleted, so remove your provider in the app first if you want the password gone as well.

Children

eppi isn't directed at children, and it collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. A change that would let eppi collect anything would come with a clear notice in the app first.

Contact

A contact address for questions about this policy will be published here before eppi is released on the App Store.
